This title describes respiratory protection used by firefighters and discusses the levels of protection needed based on the type of scene operations. It also presents the different hazardous atmospheres and how to identify them. The components of the SCBA are also reviewed, support personnel may be responsible for cylinder refilling or replacing, as well as the inspection, and maintenance of the firefighter's SCBA.
