This title introduces the mission of the fire service and the support person’s role and responsibilities. Presented are best practices to maintain personal safety, health, and wellness when working in a support position. For the safety and understanding of personnel, fire dynamics, the fire tetrahedron, methods of heat transfer, and products of combustion are also described.
