This title provides participants with the skills to effectively use the Emergency Response Guide (ERG), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and CHEMTREC to identify substances and access critical safety information. This foundational training covers essential common hazardous material and health hazard terminology. Key concepts of incident behavior and strategy are introduced, including an explanation of the 5 stages in the General Emergency Behavior Model and different types of container stress. Participants will also learn to apply the DECIDE decision-making framework for defensive response strategies.
